The concept of the "end times," often referred to as eschatology, has been a central theme in both Christian and Jewish theology for millennia. It encompasses God’s plan for the final days of the world as we know it—events leading to the return of Christ, judgment, and the ultimate renewal of creation.

Before Christ returns, the Jews will be truly settled in their ancestral homeland. Jerusalem will once again be in Jewish hands. Many believe that this sign will come to pass soon as Israel is currently a Jewish state.

Notice the two remarkably similar descriptions. Jesus called them ferocious wolves and Paul called them savage wolves. These false prophets will not spare the flock and will show them no mercy because they really don’t care about the flock.

11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. 12 Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.

As we witness these events unfold, our focus should be on living in accordance with God’s word and sharing His love with those around us.

Why will this happen? The reason is because those days will mark the approach of Satan’s final defeat—and he will do everything he can to fight against it. Never forget that the devil has one primary goal: to stop God’s work in the world.
